Hiking trails departing from the front door of the hotel. Distinction in the region with the Österreichisches Wandergütesiegel. Safe ascents between 600 and 2,000 meters above see level with impressive panorama view. Guided family-friendly hikes in the summer months of July and August. Competitive and peaceful bikers alike will be able to satisfy their needs in the nature park of Oberdrautal. It is only one minute from the hotel to the Drau bike trail. You can safely park your bike in either of our two garages; we even supply charging electricity. There are few better ways to experience the region than by bike. We are always eager and available to help you plan your bike tours.

since 2012 the Drau bike trail carries the title “Quality bike trail” from the ADFC (Allgemeinder Deutscher Fahrradclub e.V.).

delta- & paragliding

The Emberger Alm ranks among the best thermal flight areas of Europe. It is a paradise for Genuß- and distance fliers alike. The flier taxi will bring you to the takeoff at a height of 1.700m above sea level. The 600 meter landing ground in Berg is only 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel to the other side of the river.

rock climbing

Rock climbing is always in style and the outdoor park of Oberdrautal offers beginners many opportunities to see for themselves what all the hype is about.

Climbing in Oberdrautal:

  • Kofl Climbing Wall in Irschen, the ideal start to a long climbing season. The wall begins directly on the ground.
  • Climbing Path Pirkner Gorge (difficulty scale of C)- The gorge entrance is a natural adventure playground with caves and old mills. With multiple rope bridges over wild brooks, and a ladder along the side of a waterfall, the Gorge itself is an impressive experience that is sure to get your adrenaline pumping! Many consider the spectacular climb along the cascading waterfall as the tour’s highlight.
  • Climbing Park Norsach for pros, hobby climbers, and kids-wall.

The High Ropes Course

in Greifenburg offers a safe adventurous experience for all. Participants learn tips and tricks on the 3 meter high practice course before taking on the full course that is 4 to 8 meters high. The crowning moment is the “flying fox” zip line that has you dangeling on a rope and flying 160meters across the lake!
