The Ferienpark is located among the most beautiful ski areas of upper Carinthia and Osttirol. A mere twenty-minute drive takes you to the Emberger Alm, Weissensee, Zettersfeld in Lienz, or Goldeck in Spittal. A 50 minutes drive will bring you to some larger areas including Nassfled, Sillian, the spectacular Heiligenblut in the middle of the nature sanctuary Grossglockner, or the famous Matrei and Katchberg. With the cheap AuTop-Ski Pass Carinthia/Osttirol, you can indulge your skiing enthusiasm on a different mountain each day!

The Kreuzeckgruppe is ideally suited for this sport activity and offers enticing tour destinations for trained AT skiers and beginners alike. It is a highly addicting activity! Please beware of avalanche danger and weather risks.

snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is a wonderful, gentle way to enjoy the winter season. Regardless of if its along the riverbed of the Drau or above the tree line, the complete serenity and bedazzling winter landscape will leave you both relaxed and impressed. Snowshoes and poles are available in the Hotel for a small rental price (5 euro per day) every day. We are more than happy to help you plan a guided snowshoe tour as well.
skating
The community Skating rink and Eisstockplatz are only a minute’s walking distance from the hotel and it is only 20 minutes by car to the magnificent Weissensee. With 6.5 km length, the lake is the largest expanse of frozen ice in all of Europe, and it is readily available to your desires from mid December to early March.
